Costessey Patrol

The toads move from the fields and gardens to the East of  West End Rd to the ponds to the West by the river.  There are fixed toads signs that are open all year so people don't pay much attention.   Most of the toads are crossing near to Brickfield Loke but some are found as far south as Tower Hill.  We aim to have 4 people out on patrol so that we can cover the long stretch of road with very heavy traffic.

There are some blocked pipes under the road just north of Brickfield Loke and we have asked Costessey PC to request NCC Highways to clear the pipes so that the toads can use them to cross under the road - we will need to provide fencing to guide the toads into the pipes.
